About

Little One’s Nook is the product of 1 cup friends, 1 cup creativity and 1 huge batch of love and affection towards others. It all started as a very special baby shower gift to a close friend that turned into the buzz of the party and encompassed friends and family through its execution. The process and outcome was so much fun for all the involved that everyone suggested offering the idea to others as a service to make their baby rooms just as special as the first one we created.

Awy_n_Diego2My name is Awymarie Riollano. I am a New York State Registered Architect, a theatre designer and, above all, the proud mommy of 3 year-old Diego. Having been trained as an architect at Cornell University and as a theatre designer at New York University, I thought I was all done with my artistic training. To my surprise, I was not. Diego has taught me an entirely new simple and innocent way of discovering the world through basic shapes and colors. It is in this “back-to-basics” attitude that I have found my voice as a painter, artist and designer for baby nurseries. Each and everyone of my projects is special, not just because of the opportunity to create something new, but because it is a chance to help mold the environment that will welcome one more little one and hopefully fulfill the dreams and ideas of another happy mom.

Little One’s Nook Extended Family

As any small venture, we grow as the people around us take an interest in our work. The Little One’s Nook project benefits from the collaboration with friend and colleague Heather Ross. Heather is a designer trained at Auburn University and a LEED AP. Although not a mommy (yet!), she brings to Little One’s Nook a keen eye for design and an insatiable thirst for creation. She is the creator of our soon to be launched Wall Art and Fabric Decals line.

Stay tuned for more information on our new lines in the upcoming months!
