Nautical Mural
We had the opportunity to work with a wonderful family who asked us to consider two designs for their 6 month old boy: a nautical theme and an outdoors theme. Both themes bring such wonderful ideas to mind! Nautical: think maps, boats, coordinates, ocean, lighthouse…. Outdoors: sun, clouds, vegetation, animals…. So much fun to be had! However, both themes are also very related as nautical calls many outdoor scenes to mind as well. The idea in all designs was to bring the elements of the “outdoors” into the room to liven it up. Giraffe and Monkey Mural
Welcome to 2010, Little One’s Nook!! Here is our first mural for this year. We painted it in January and it took us a bit to get pictures posted, but here they are nonetheless. The room was painted in a very modern contrasting combination of gray and yellow. It is interesting to see how different the same colors look on the two different backgrounds. The yellow and gray combination made the room look modern but somber. The addition of the mural completely transformed the space into a cozy baby corner. Enjoy the pictures! We surely enjoyed painting it.
