Monkey Themed Baby Mural
This was such a fun theme to develop!! Monkeys are fun to draw, fun to research and fun to paint. These are a few design schemes that were submitted to the client. Pictures of the finished mural to follow.
Scheme 1A:
Under Water Baby Mural
So, no postings for a while here…. but that does not mean we haven’t been busy. Quite the contrary. I have been too busy to post!! The past month we worked on this wonderful under water themed mural!! What a joy it was to design this! Following are three schemes for the same mural design, out of the 6 schemes submitted to the client.
Around, around, fly the birds…
We have been busy the last few weeks. There’s a beautiful 11 month old baby out there waiting for this mural to get painted in the next few weeks. This may change a bit as it is still a work in progress…. wanted to share it with you all anyway. It is a very small room, so the goal here is to make this mural very unobtrusive but brightening the room at the same time.
Celebratory Skyline
Oh, well… so I live in New York City, and some New York City parents love their city so much that they want it in their baby’s bedroom! This sketch is a study for such a mural: an impressionistic New York City celebrating the arrival of a new little one. This could even make a great mural for an older child or a playroom instead of a nursery!…. so it’s meant to last on that wall until your baby is ready to hang his/her favorite music band posters….
Firetruck Nursery Theme Mural
For a few days now I’ve been working on a Firetruck mural just for fun. Please share your thoughts. This is a work in progress…. Enjoy!
All Our Pets Baby Mural
Have you ever thought of blowing out your baby’s mobile onto the walls? Many babies have animal mobiles over their cribs and real animals as part of the family. For Nicholas, we wanted to take both ideas to a whole new level. We created an animal mural inspired in his collection of pets including a friendly dog, a chatty parrot, a sweet love bird, fish in a pond and… no, he doesn’t actually have a giraffe, but it looked so cute we had to include it in his nursery décor as well!
My friend Logan was having her first baby and I wanted to do something special for her baby shower gift. Her theme for the nursery was animals… any kind… but it quickly was clear that the animals that would be shaping the baby’s life should be featured. Hence, I designed a nursery mural that incorporated their pets plus a mommy and baby giraffe combo watching over all of them.
